Business verification for businesses (B2B)

This article is for a business using Etherfuse for its own account — for example, buying and redeeming Stablebonds or running on/off-ramps with company funds.

What KYB is

Businesses complete KYB (Know Your Business) rather than individual KYC. It verifies your company and its representatives before you can mint, redeem, and move funds in production.

Sandbox vs. production

  • Sandbox: you get API access immediately to build and test — no KYB required.

  • Production: access is granted once your KYB is approved.

How you submit it

KYB documents are submitted either through the app or via a secure document folder shared by our team. You provide your company information and supporting documents; once reviewed and approved, production access is enabled.

Do I need a Mexican bank account?

Only if you want to off-ramp funds into your own bank account. You can complete KYB and mint/redeem assets without a Mexican bank account; a bank is required only when you (or your users) cash out to a bank.

What you’ll provide

About the company:

  • Certificate of Incorporation and incorporation data

  • Ownership chart / shareholding structure

  • Commercial register extract

  • Tax ID (e.g. RFC)

  • Proof of address

  • Business activity — products & services and operations

  • Source of funds

  • Powers of attorney and a legal-representative questionnaire

  • AML/KYC policy and compliance-officer appointment, where applicable

  • A signed customer agreement

For each beneficial owner (UBO) and legal representative:

  • Passport or government ID

  • Proof of address

  • Tax ID

  • Occupation, nationality, email, and phone

Exactly which items are requested is determined by a risk assessment and your jurisdiction (for example, Mexico’s PLD rules), so two businesses may see different lists, and some documents expire and must be refreshed. For the exact KYB document checklist and endpoints, see docs.etherfuse.com.

Please note: the requirements above are provided as a guide and may not be complete. Exact requirements depend on your country, account type, and a risk assessment, are versioned, and can change over time. Etherfuse may request additional information or documents during review. This list is not exhaustive and does not constitute legal or compliance advice.
