Order & payment statuses (and how long it takes)
Every on-ramp (buying) and off-ramp (cashing out) moves through a few statuses. Here is what each one means, how long it usually takes, and what to do if an order looks stuck.
Buying (on-ramp) statuses
Quote — you request a price. A quote locks your rate and amount for 2 minutes; create the order before it expires.
Waiting for payment — your order is created and Etherfuse is waiting to receive your funds. Send the exact amount shown to the account in your deposit instructions (SPEI in Mexico, PIX in Brazil, a USD wire, or a stablecoin such as USDC).
Processing — your payment has been detected and the order is being filled.
Completed — your tokens have been delivered to your wallet and begin earning yield as you hold them.
Cashing out (off-ramp) statuses
Quote — locks your rate and payout for 2 minutes.
Awaiting signature — Etherfuse returns a ready-to-sign transaction. Sign it to release your tokens for conversion. (If it sits too long it refreshes; always sign the latest one.)
Processing — your tokens are converted and the payout is sent to your bank.
Completed — the local currency has been deposited to your bank account.
How long it takes
SPEI (MXN) & PIX (BRL): usually minutes once your payment is sent.
USD wire: typically same day; can take until the next business day depending on your bank.
Off-ramp payout to a bank: same day in most cases, up to T+1 (next business day).
On-chain purchases & redemptions: usually instant; some can take up to about T+5, and on-chain redemptions on Solana settle on a weekly schedule. See How on-chain purchases & redemptions work.
Getting a payment receipt
SPEI (Mexico): you can generate the official CEP (Comprobante Electrónico de Pago) for any SPEI transfer directly from Banco de México at banxico.org.mx/cep, using the transfer details (date, amount, sending and receiving accounts, and tracking key).
PIX (Brazil): your bank app provides the comprovante (receipt) for the transfer.
My order is stuck on “Waiting for payment”
This status simply means your payment has not been matched to the order yet. The most common causes:
Amount mismatch: send the exact amount from the deposit instructions — a different amount may not match automatically.
Quote expired: if you paid after the 2-minute quote window, the rate may have changed. Start a new order if needed.
Payment still settling: SPEI and PIX usually clear in minutes; wires can take longer.
One order at a time: only one pending purchase is allowed per bank account and amount at a time.
If it has been longer than the times above, contact support with your order ID and we will locate it.
